Edinburgh 10-08-10
Peter's tour really brought Skinner to life as we walked through
the centre of Edinburgh. His knowledge of the books and
characters was excellent and it made for a very enjoyable and
interesting morning. We would recommend this tour highly - Peter
was an excellent guide!

Excellent tour - thoroughly enjoyed the discussion within the
group which consisted of six walkers with very well informed
guide. It made me think more about the Skinner books and
although I have read all of them I did not remember as much as I
should.

We enjoyed a
four hour Saints & Sinners tour with Peter, and loved every
minute of it. The stories, while rich in history, sprang to new
life with Peter's very entertaining delivery! We felt like we
got to know some of Scotland's more colourful characters, and
also had a new knowledge and respect for some of the rich
Scottish traditions. I would recommend this tour to anyone who
wants to know about Edinburgh, and loves to have a good time!

I have done 2 of
Peter's tours of Edinburgh - one of the city with some American
friends and the other one his "Quintin Jardin" walking tour and
they were both absolutely brilliant.
He really brings
this beautiful city to life and his knowledge and storytelling
is second to none. All ages will be kept entertained.
I had never read
a Quintin Jardine book before, but after his tour I was
desperate to read one - and am now a complete fan!
Highly
recommended - don't miss it when you are in Edinburgh - a great
way to spend a few hours and get to know the city and it's
history

Peter is
awesome!!! he showed us around the famous places in Edinburgh
that I would not know about. He knew a lot of the rich history
that Scotland had to offer. If you want to learn about Scotland
in a fun and interactive way, THIS is the tour you want to sign
up for! Best time in UK!!!

Peter was an
amazing tour guide and took us all around Old and New Edinburgh.
His stories were amazing and rich with history. Peter also gave
us the tour in the traditional Scottish kilt! This tour is great
for visitors who are only staying for a couple of days and want
to explore the city in ways that you wouldn't be able to do on
your own. High recommended tour.

Thank you for the fantastic tour you gave on Saturday afternoon - we
were still singing Burke and Hare on Sunday afternoon!! Everyone
loved the tour and we were laughing at breakfast yesterday as the

The history of Edinburgh really came to life with your informative
guiding style and we came away with a clear understanding of the
past in relation to the present city that exists today.
The details that you include in your tours, from the kilt you wear
to the Deacon Brodie's re-enactment make this tour a rare treat for
travellers. It was the perfect introduction to the city and made the

"I thought the companion program was terrific. A large part of it's
success was your enthusiasm and knowledge. Your humor helped make a
group of some strangers and some old friends mesh together into a
very fun group. Several participants commented to me that this
conference (ICPA) is the only one that they attend with their
spouses because of the interesting and fun Companion Program. Next

The students and staff enjoyed the tour very much. It was fun going
right into the cemetery and back streets to hear the stories of
events that happened in the past. The tour guides were very
interesting and entertaining. One student said it was educational
yet entertaining, like being in an interactive museum. The students
liked being incorporated into the various stories. The students
enjoyed singing the song that they had learned, and even sang it at
our final Music Night when we were watching a slide show of the
trip.

The success of this kind of tours lies in the ability of the
presenters to make history come alive. This you managed very well
indeed. Everybody in the group agreed that this was a much better
