Feedback from Norwegian clients 23.05.04

Hi Pete!

Yes, thank you, we had a good trip home and we all really enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh!  And there is so much more we would have liked to see if we had had the time.  So I guess we must come back!

As for your guided tour we think it was very good.  You gave a lot of information and my impression is that you know a lot about your hometown ranging from historical fact, geology  to stories and myth.  We particularly enjoyed the "interactive" bit and we think that makes your walks a lot of fun and we as tourists feel like more than just passive spectacors. It is also a very good way to keep our attention!

I recorded some with my video camera and we watched the film yesterday, and enjoyed part of your tour all over again!

The only suggestion we have for improvements is that it might be an idea to include a short coffee / tea break halfway in the tour to give people a short rest and break.  The coffeebreak could perhaps be in a place of some historic interest or a place with a story attached to it  - of which there should be plenty on the Royal Mile!

So:  Just keep up the good work!  Have a nice Easter and all the best for the tourist season!

Kind regards

Tove

Hi Pete,

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply but it's been very busy since I got back from beautiful Edinburgh.

I've had nothing but positive feedback from my friends about the tour which in many ways was the highlight of the weekend. We were particularly lucky to have four very competent guides to ourselves for 2,5 hours and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The only complaint was the weather.... It was a great blend of history, tales, culture, and humour delievered in an interactive manner which made the tour entertaining as well as informative. As a group we were allowed to participate which made the history of EdCinburgh come alive. We were also duly impressed by your knowledge of Norway and our language and appreciated the preparation you and your guides must have done before meeting us.

I will be happy to recommend your tours to anyone who plans to visit Edinburgh and wants to spend some time getting to know her history and hidden closes!

Best regards,

Gunn
